Prior to joining CURIE, Patrick has spent the past three years leading national practices and risk advisory for some of the largest insurance brokerages in Canada. In addition to other senior executive leadership roles he had previously held in the United States and Canada, Patrick also served as the President and CEO of Zurich Canada from 2012-2017. He is a seasoned sector leader with over 25 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, specialty underwriting and alternative risk solutions.
Patrick brings a high degree of success, and looks forward to contributing to the development and growth of CURIE through innovation, strategic vision and customer-focused solutions.
Carrie joined CURIE in June 1999. Carrie holds a RIMS Fellow (RF) designation as well as a Bachelor’s degree from McMaster University. Please contact Carrie with insurance, accounting, information systems, administrative, underwriting, or regulatory compliance issues.
Prior to joining CURIE, Stewart held senior positions in the insurance industry in Toronto, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, he has his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and RIMS Fellow designation. John joined CURIE in May 2006. His loss control career began in 1979 as a field representative conducting building inspections and he later advanced to developing and conducting loss control courses throughout North America. John is a Certified Engineering Technologist and has CIP and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. Please contact John regarding loss control issues or about CURIE training for members.
James joined the CURIE team in May 2012. With over five years of accounting experience he also holds a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Designation. Jillian joined CURIE in September of 2014. Jillian has over 10 years experience in the insurance industry and has her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Please contact Jillian with your claims, certificates of insurance, policies and general insurance-related concerns.
Prior to joining CURIE in December 2014, Karin had experience as a RIBO, personal lines broker, focusing on VIP clientele and corporate relations. In addition, she has worked as Campaign Manager responsible for leadership giving at United Way, Constituency Assistant (City of Hamilton) and Provincial Government. As front-line administrative support, Karin looks forward to supporting CURIE staff and the communication needs of the organization.
Insurance and Accounting Assistant
Felicity joined CURIE on January 2, 2018. She has her Bachelor’s in Adult Education certificate from Brock University and taught Computer Applications at Halton Business Institute and Sheridan College for 11 years. She is not new to CURIE because she worked part-time in the claims department during 2011. Felicity looks forward to supporting the accounting and claims departments at CURIE.
